 BIOGRAPHY

I was born 5 minutes before midnight on the 20th of September 1984, into a loving family – where my parents worked hard to give their children everything they could possibly provide.  My work reflects the love I feel for them.

I found passion in photography since the age of 11. I won the Annabel Williams’ competition in 2006. My photos have published fairly widely in the US.

 My personal work

Generally I work with models, actors, interesting people with a wide range of different profiles and characters create documentary, portraiture and commercial images. I aim to create stories in my work, focusing on both emotions and the natural look of the subjects and integrate both into my work.

How long have you been taking pictures?

I have been taking pictures since 11 but I understood photography more deeply about 3
years ago. So since then I re-born again. Few people opened my eyes very wide and since
then I even sleep with camera..hehe

Do you prefer natural light portraits? Or do you use flash?

About light. Is so important to me same as to everyone I suppose.
Its like cooking soup without water. I use natural light and flash depends where I am
really.

Who are the models and how did you find them?

What and who I am photographing. Since I started to taking pictures I would say 99% of
all my images are people. Human beings. And where do I search for them? Lots of sources.
If I need model then modeling agency, if I use actor then movie industry and so on. But
for me is the face expression the most important thing in my work. And I always want
to achieve it. So if I see someone who is interesting to me I just ask. It can be
stranger from the street or mine 97 years old deaf great-grandmother. There are so many
great characters out there. We just need to open our eyes.

 What locations do you use?

Where I shoot. I would say location and studio. Both can give me different result so I am
choosing different places for different reasons.

What photographic techniques do you use and why?

I am shooting on 35mm mainly cause it suits me cause I can move quickly ifIi want to
cause moment which  I can never see again might be gone very quickly.
And sure I am using photoshop as a tool which is very helpful to everyone who is making
photos.

Do you work with a stylist or make up artist?

I do use make-up artist very often for fashion portrait or I dont really know how to call it. I dont do fashion I think.
I am a human being photographer and I love to capture something which I ll never see
again. Thats me, that's who I am.
But for some jobs or project I use people from fashion world to help me cause I dont
understand everything so u need team of people around and all together we creating final
piece.

 What photographers/artists inspire you most?

I can truly say David Simmonds who was my main teacher at University where I studied Ba Photography. He changed my life. I think he was the first person and the most important
one who gave me so much. David helped me on my photographer's journey. Such a lovely
friend. And from world photographers definitely Peter Lindbergh and Paolo Roversi.
